Reigate and Banstead Writes

Reigate and Banstead Writes. The writing competition established by The Warwick School, culminated in a joyful Awards Ceremony at the Warwick School on Friday 9th June. Winners and highly commended students were joined by judges, key supporters, teachers, parents and other invited guests for afternoon tea and presentation of their prizes.

There were 402 stories submitted in total, 300 of which were secondary schools.  The winning entry for the secondary competition can be found here and for the primary competition here.

We are particularly proud at The Warwick of Leon Patey and Ryan Parry who were awarded 2nd and 3rd place respectively. They are pictured with Ben Herneman from St. Bede’s school who came 1st. The winner of the Primary category Grace Moore is also pictured with Edward Pither, who came 3rd. Leon and Ryan’s story are on the website to read.  Well done to all involved. We have some very talented young writers in our area.
