Route 4 Alternative Education Facility

Route 4 is an educational off shoot of Warwick School that offers an Alternative Education Programme for Yr 10 & 11 students who are at risk of, or have received permanent exclusion from school.
Based at the Oakley Centre in Merstham, Route 4 is currently in its second successive year and now offers 24 male student places a full curriculum of both academic and practical lessons.

Academic Curriculum

Academic lessons provide students skills at nationally recognised standards and entry level 1 & 2 in;
Numeracy
Literacy
Humanities


Practical Skills Curriculum

Students also gain Accreditation at OCN (Open College Network) and ASDAN,(Award Scheme Development & Accreditation Network)Levels in further project work such as:
Construction
Landscaping/Ground Work
Music & Film
Health & Hygiene
Outdoor Education, off-site activities
Community Project Work


College/Work Placements

All students are offered a college or work experience placement usually of their preferred work choice, whilst attending Route 4 gaining further skills and experience, as too gain opportunities of further education once they have completed Yr 11.
All last years Yr 11 students attained work or college placements upon leaving Route 4.
