New Build
October 2020 Update
Main School Toilets Stairs to Canteen to Library Main School
The Warwick School is extremely proud to be part of The Priority Schools Building Programme which has enabled us to have a large build on our site. This is an amazing opportunity for the school and will provide young people with a state of the art facility which will enhance the learning experience for all of our community. We are very excited by this project but also aware of the need to maintain a high quality education during the next two years. Inevitable there is going to be some disruption during the works but our aim in collaboration with Kier will be to keep this to a minimum.
The end product will be a 4 court sports hall and changing areas, main hall, dining area and library with 9 new classrooms, 8 science labs, 3 specialist DT rooms, a drama studio, 2 ICT rooms and a suite of rooms for students with learning needs. There are three phases of the project as shown in the timeline below:
January 2019 | Contractors arrive on site |

February 2019 | Phase 1 starts: Building of the sports hall |
June 2019 | Enabling works for Phase 2 begins |

Week beginning the 18th February 2019
The piling rig will be on site and will begin to drill down into the ground for the steel work. Whilst this shouldn’t be too noisy as it is a corkscrew effect there may be a whirring and some ground vibrations.
The main compound will be completed this week and then all the enabling works will be finished so all attention can be on the construction of the sports hall.
There will be a ‘Ground Breaking Ceremony’ on Friday 8th March 2019.
