Welcome to The Warwick School’s transition information page. This is a page committed to providing information and guidance on how we plan to manage this important step into secondary education, providing a safe and secure start into this next chapter of your school-life.
Over the next few weeks and months, we will be uploading all of the necessary information that you will need to help each students smooth transition to The Warwick School. From our admissions process, copies of the Parent and Student Welcome Packs, as well as welcome messages and challenges from each Department – this is where you will be able to find everything you need.
Our Transition Program ensures a secure and calm start into secondary education, starting with getting to know your sons and daughters in their primary schools and building positive relationships with them from the beginning. Students will visit the school for an Induction day in the summer term, be given further opportunities to visit the school during the summer holidays, and they will also be able to celebrate their successful transitions with their primary school teachers during the first term through events and showcases that their previous teachers are invited to attend. All of these factors contribute to the smooth transition during this big step into the next stage of their education.
Our Year 7 and wider pastoral team strive to provide the necessary support to your sons and daughters every lesson, every day. This support starts now. Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries about this important time: email@example.com
I look forward to meeting you and your children very soon.
Head of Year 7
My name is Mrs Dilworth and I am the Assistant Head of Year 7, I work alongside Mrs Williams to make sure your transition from primary to secondary school is as smooth as possible.
My favourite part about working as part of the year 7 team is seeing students bloom as they settle in to their new school. Over the next few months, many will be nervous about things like the size of the new school and making friends, it gives me so much joy to see these worries disappear as September comes and goes and our new arrivals settle in.
Over the coming months, our aim will be to get to know all of the students joining us and to make their transition as positive as possible. If you have any questions about the additional support we will be able to provide during the transition please do not hesitate to contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to meeting you and your child over the next few months.
